Removing The Disconnect Between Taxation and Representation

The Loudest Dollar You Ever Spent

This petition is registering supporters of the US Stakeholders Movement with the purpose of demonstrating that the American taxpayers are serious and ready to make repairs to our US Constitution that are needed to return fairness to our nation’s system of taxation and representation. These changes define the US Stakeholders Movement.

The petition demonstrates to our leaders that the US citizens truly want these changes using a centralized counting mechanism that cannot be artificially generated. Based on the perceived sentiment of the common taxpayer, this movement is expected to be an extremely popular one.

US citizens who recognize its truth are encouraged to participate and promote this petition. As the movement gathers steam, it will capture the attention of the news media and gain further momentum and popularity until our leaders cannot ignore our demand for these changes.

This movement is not about venting. This is about effecting positive change needed to heal our country before it is too late. The US Stakeholders Movement provides a mechanism that demonstrates the US taxpayers are ready to stand together in solidarity to demand the changes required to repair the US Constitution in order to remove the disconnect between taxation and representation. These issues are the root causes of our nation's biggest problems that have resulted from the flaws that allow our representatives to enact decisions that contradict the will of its responsible citizens.

How does it work? The US Stakeholders Movement petition requests that each citizen whom agrees with its mission participate in the buck vote petition as a solid and committed confirmation of support and distribute its message to other taxpayers for their consideration. The petition serves as the evidence and motivation that is required to make the needed changes to the US Constitution.

Why is this method being used?

   1. The dollar is symbolic of both the power and the burden of the American taxpayer.

   2. Washington will pay attention because money speaks louder than words, and that is the only way such a major proposal will be taken seriously. The votes, each backed by a dollar, demonstrate the resolve and commitment of the taxpayers that cannot be ignored. The funds serve as bait.

   3. It cost less than the average restaurant soft drink to participate, it is safe, easy, and it requires only a couple of minutes of your time.

   4. It is a centralized way of measuring and demonstrating the collective national taxpayer sentiment about the US Stakeholder Movement. This is where we are making it happen.

   5. It sends a strong, symbolic message of unified commitment by the taxpayers, while being a lot more convenient and affordable than traveling to Washington D.C. for a street rally.

   6. It eliminates the possibility of falsifying the results (a predictable accusation). Petition entries could be created through artificial and automated means, but electronic fund transfers cannot be generated artificially.

   7. The internet is convenient and most taxpayers have access to it. People that cannot physically rally because of obligations or restrictions can make a stand this way.

Will the petition participation numbers be available as the petition progresses?

No. It is not desirable to bias the petition positively or negatively with progress numbers. Every person should decide based on their own beliefs rather than based on what the others are doing. That is American.

Keeping the response numbers private during the petition will build a sense of suspense and anticipation that will have its own effect on the people and leaders of our country. This in itself could be a powerful mechanism that demands attention even prior to releasing news of a powerful participation response by the US taxpayers.

Without sufficient participation, our leaders will not give this matter the attention it deserves. Why should they if there is no indication of majority demand? Some people will agree with the mission and principles of the US Stakeholders Movement, but will leave it to others to support it. If several supporters do that, it would hurt the effectiveness of the movement and weaken it. If you turn away, it is unreasonable to expect the next person to step up and make this happen. Letting others do it for you is the kind of behavior that has weakened our country. American apathy and inaction is what got us in this mess. Success requires participation, and it starts right here.

When will the results of the petition be released?

Having no experience with such a petition, this must be handled based on results. An immediate, explosive response would send the loudest message to our representatives in Washington D.C.. If this generates a wild fire response, as it should, that would make a much larger statement than a big number later next year. If such a response occurs, the results will be released as soon as the acceleration of responses slows for the best effect. Releasing the evidence of strong support earlier has the added benefit of getting the message to Washington D.C. sooner because this should have been done as part of the package when the income tax was imposed on the US citizens. If this petition is not on track to produce the expected response within 6 month then this indicates that it does not reflect the beliefs and will of the US taxpayers, and the results will be announced as the petition is ended. This is not expected to happen.

How will the petition response information be used?

The results will be released to the media and to our representatives to inform them of the opinion and the will of the US taxpayers in order to demand their support to enact these changes. It is unlikely that the politicians will jump onboard until there is sufficient evidence of momentum and taxpayer support. Providing solid evidence is the primary objective of this petition.

How will the donations be used?

TThe amount will be documented by bank officials in order to provide proof of the legitimacy, scale, and accuracy of the petition. The expected response should generate enough funds to support a dedicated and effective effort for promoting the US Stakeholders Movement to accomplish its mission of repairing our democracy.

Why are donations set at one dollar per vote rather than a larger amount?

It is a stronger statement to have 10 taxpayers contribute one dollar each than one taxpayer contributing ten, and it keeps the statistics simple. The dollar is not a fee, but a voluntary donation that demonstrates firm support by the individual donor participant for the US Stakeholders Movement. This movement is for the common taxpayer. The dollar is a symbolic amount that most people can easily afford. If you are in a situation with multiple parties that wish to participate (such as with spouses), with only one available payment mechanism, then the payment process can be repeated.

Will demographic statistics concerning the petition participants be made available?

There will be no gathering of such information. The petition has a national context, and it is available equally to everyone via the internet. The petition represents the single collective voice of the taxpayers that support the US Stakeholders Movement. The only demographic that matters is that all participants are taxpayers that are united in their support these changes.

In order to protect the privacy and safety of the participants, payment information associated with the donation is sent directly to PayPal and is not transmitted to or stored on this server. A PayPal account is not required to participate.
