  US Stakeholders Movement:
Removing The Disconnect Between Taxation and Representation

Founder's Perspective

I have great respect for the Libertarians, Tea Party protestors and pure Constitutionalist of this nation because they represent and support the true principles that created this great country. We all have the same mission. I cringe at the thought of amending the Constitution on principle, but the immensity of the situation demands it. I cannot think of another workable solution. This is a path back toward the original vision.

Perhaps the US Stakeholders Movement will produce a US Stakeholders Party. Such a party is needed to address the lack of progress and cooperation caused by the bi-partisan bickering, which has failed our nation long enough. When citizens are empowered to elect responsible leaders, many problems can be addressed. For example, term limits will not be required. The voters will just vote them out of office if they ignore the will of the voters. Spending oversight requirements can be implemented that prevent granting billions of dollars to phantom districts.

I hope that my ideas are not construed as being unsympathetic to the impoverished. I honestly wish nobody was poor. I am no elitist. I’m one of those people that is slightly uncomfortable even being served by a waitress or waiter. It is likely that misplaced guilt is what allowed us to get into this position. I believe that healthy, free capitalism is the only way to reduce poverty to a level such that charity alone can address its pains without the forced redistribution of earnings and wealth.

I believe that a healthy United States of America would help its poor through opportunity and charity. It is insulting that government leaders claim to believe that the American society must be mandated into doing it. They have robbed us of that good feeling that comes from voluntary giving by mandating it, which breeds resentment instead of warmth. They have institutionalized it so badly, that the beneficiaries have little gratitude for this charity with the belief that they are entitled to it at the expense of the taxpayers, and they have no shame about demanding more. It has created an us and them mentality. The government has capped the tax breaks allowed for charitable giving while claiming to be all about helping the underprivileged because sufficient charity would remove their role as the great provider and threaten their power over the impoverished. They must intercept charity through taxation in order to appear as if they provide it.

Some will argue that removing the vote from the government dependents will add to their humiliation. That is an undesirable effect, but how else can the connection between the taxpayer and representatives be repaired? There is no solution that only produces positive results, but this one would produce the greatest benefit where it would ultimately eliminate the primary cause of the massive US poverty population. It is not the goal of the US Stakeholders Movement to punish the government dependents, but rather to remove the root cause that generates this reality. This root cause is what enables our representatives to ignore our interests.

Capitalism creates growth, products, jobs, wealth and abundance. I believe the best solution for eliminating the poor is to not remain or become poor yourself, which requires opportunities made available with a healthy, capitalistic system. In a country like ours, there is sufficient opportunity for real success if one applies them self, but why should they? Most government dependents have private homes with multiple bedrooms, clean running water, heat, air conditioning, refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwave ovens, televisions, furniture, and ample food, plus services which include education, advanced education assistance, counseling, legal assistance, and health care. With poverty like that, how can there be sufficient motivation to compete and keep a job? Poverty is a viable lifestyle. If you listen to the dependent class, they talk of their oppression. They know in their hearts that they are not truly free, and they resent the other American citizens for the freedom that they retain (at least for now).

I believe that the liberals of our country originate from three motivations. The impoverished who are convinced that they need government assistance since it is a central theme of their society. Then there are the sympathetic idealists that wish to apply band aids to ease the suffering of the poor and promote freedoms, yet they fail to grasp the reality that forced redistribution of wealth and government dependence has the effect of fostering a poverty class and removing liberty. The worst of these are the phony hypocrite limo-liberals that would not even consider living in a middle-class neighborhood, yet they express strong opinions in support of programs that tax the middle class before jetting off to their next gig. When they donate less than half of one percent of their wealth to a liberal cause, it makes headlines because it is a large sum of money to a common citizen so it has the appearance of generosity. It makes for great public relations hoopla. The third motivation is the political liberal. They sell out the taxpayers to gain voter support by redistributing the earnings and wealth of the workers and successful, while shielding and expanding their own wealth empires. These old money Kennedy’s enjoy their yacht parties, and transfer their immense wealth down via trusts to their next generation, avoiding the estate taxes that could significantly contribute to funding the social programs they created and endorse. They have an agenda to further government dependency and growth for their own self interests.

The government is now focusing more effort on gaining control of the corporations and our free market medical system. It is a power grab that spells serious trouble for all citizens, especially taxpayers, and it contradicts the principles of independence, freedom and liberty laid down by the founders of our country.
